A & J

ALICIA & JASON

In October 2018, Alicia had just returned home from a solo trip to Sedona (think ‘Eat-Pray-Love’ vibes) and Jason just planted his roots back in Costa Mesa after intermittently traveling nationally and internationally for professional poker.

They came across each other’s profiles on a dating app called Bumble. And of course, they both swiped right. He noticed her pretty face (his words, not hers lol) and she noticed that he claimed to have multiple dinners a night (which they still haven’t done together yet)! She had a good feeling about him.

They met up at a restaurant bar for some casual drinks on Halloween night. He didn’t show up in a banana costume as promised! But they hit it off from the start.

She ordered a vodka soda. He ordered a drink that came out on a wooden tray with a fancy cloud of smoke surrounding the glass. In that moment, she knew he was extra, just like her :)

They hung out and talked for hours on their first date - going to multiple locations because places kept closing early (it was a weeknight). Needless to say, they fell in love!

They recently celebrated their 3rd anniversary where they recreated that date night - traveling to all the same places they did on the night they met.
